I bought Sage Master Builder a couple of years before Sage bought the software. We originally had Capstone which was a Dos based program that was driven into bankruptcy trying to make the transition to a Windows based system. We researched all the more advanced programs and after talking to other Sage Master Builder users decided to use this software. It's a decision we've never regretted. We did have reservations a year or two later when we found out that Sage bought the company out. We shouldn't have worried. Sage has made tremendous strides, including meshing somewhat with Quest (an estimating software package.) My only wish would be to fully integrate the Sage Master Builder database with Quest. Including updating Sage Master Builder database when adding parts items on the fly. All in all, I am extremely happy with Sage Master Builder. It is an extremely powerful program and tech support is impressive. Our company began using the Sage Master Builder software program in 2006 to handle all of our accounting needs such as payroll, A/R, A/P, job costing and general ledger transactions. We were able to consolidate or eliminate many spreadsheets and databases with the use of the program because of the included features and reporting capabilities. Later that same year, we purchased a time clock system that integrates seamlessly with the Master Builder program. This allowed our company to become even more efficient in tracking payroll data. In 2007, our drafting, estimating and sales departments became fully involved with the program and they were able to generate all quotations directly from Master Builder. As these quotations transition to actual sales or “jobs”, the flow of information is very efficient and effective to all departments within the company, including our manufacturing floor. Once again, we were able to practically eliminate repetitive data entry that can be so costly to any company.
We have used ERGS/Sage Master Builder for a number of years now. It continues to prove to be an essential, reliable, and versatile tool to our company’s past success and future growth. Our application of Master Builder is residential and commercial construction has enabled us to have up to date information on a variety of constant construction concerns such as company financials, job status, change orders, contractor payments, etc. With training and support readily available learning about Master Builder’s capabilities is extremely comfortable. Each member of the support team that we have encountered has been professional, knowledgeable, and patient in resolving any issues that have come up through the years. I highly recommend ERGS/Sage Master Builder to anyone who is considering it for their construction company.
